I didn't plan today's yarnbomb, I worked on reverse. I MADE the Santa and then went for a walk to find a place it would fit. That brought me to Andrew Circle Park, and a light post in direct view of the playground.
Today's bomb target was an easy one to pick. We have this beautiful street corner right by our church right next to a beautiful house and I just couldn't help myself!
25 days, 25 Christmas sweater yarnbombs! Today I targeted one of my favorite pit stops, Starbucks (on Del Mar, if you're in Laredo, TX) to bomb one of their chairs with a snowflake sweater❄☃
I love love LOVE this time of year! Food literally everywhere, cold weather and, obviously, UgLy SwEaTeRs (one of my favorite things ever)! Starting today and running through Christmas, I've decided to combine ugly sweaters with another love of mine.... yarnbombing😍 Yep. I'll be yarnbomb ugly sweaters onto random objects in random areas of town. Why? Just because. I'll be posting them here everyday so you'll know where to find them. Follow me on Insta for more @theknottyredhead and tag them if you see them with #25knottysweaters. Pictured is today's yarnbomb which can be found in North Central Park here in Laredo. The rainbow yarnbomb is one I put in that exact same spot 2 years ago yesterday!
I have a habit of not being able to say no to calls for art. If I can find the time to make a piece, I'm all in. Needless to say that I have a LOT of very specific-to-theme pieces that I'll either be stuck with for all eternity or can one day put together a crazy, eclectic art show when I make it big. Time will tell.
